The Towanda Garden Club
$500 annual award

The Towanda Garden club will grant an award, in the amount of $500, to a graduating senior from any Bradford County High School. The student must be majoring in Botany, Horticulture, Forestry, Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Studies, or any field related to gardening.  The winner must attend a Towanda Garden Club meeting to accept the award check.

The award is to be used toward expenses at a two or four year post graduate program. Please have interested applicants forward the following documents:

                High School Transcript

                Letter of acceptance from the college or university

                Two letters of reference

                A short essay on career goals

We are emailing in regards to our scholarship program we offer to the area schools. We have attached a scholarship application. Our dead line is May 1st the application must be received to us by mail, email or dropped off in person we will review during our May 6th executive board meeting. After reviewing we will determine and let you know who we decided will receive the $1500 scholarship.



The Twin Tiers Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is pleased to announce our 2019 Margaret R. Brewster scholarship program.  Five non-renewable scholarships will be distributed for the 2019-2020 school year.  These $2,000 scholarships will be open to high school seniors who identify as female within the Twin Tiers region.  The eligible seniors must plan to major in an ABET accredited engineering or CSAB accredited computer science program during the 2019-2020 school year.  You will find a copy of our local section application attached, along with eligibility requirements.

The Society of Women Engineers National Scholarship Program is also available and includes multiple scholarships with various due dates.  Applications for these scholarships, along with a complete version of the SWE scholarship brochure, are now online at the following link:  and select the “Scholarships” link.
